My toddler son has an obsession with wind turbines. I work in the energy field as my day job, so I was excited to help him see more.
My son and I took an early morning trip to see the about to be operational Kingman wind farm. I have never been to the area so I got an address to input into the GPS that should put us right on the edge of the wind farm. The GPS said we were very close, but the fog was so thick I couldn’t see any of them.
While driving slowly on the dirt road I saw the blades come though the fog directly above me. I pulled over to get “the shot”. This is something that would be great to have for myself and my son, a closeup of a wind turbine surrounded by fog!
No luck. The process of getting my camera out of the bag and setup took only a couple minutes, but the moment was gone. This is the photo that I got.
